Psychic Time Traveller: Past Life Self Hypnosis
Self Hypnosis Instructions*
You can record the following self hypnosis instructions with your own voice into a voice memo on your phone, have a friend read it, or choose an option from sections 1, 2, and 3, then memorise parts 4 and 5.
1) Choose a physical state of being that you want to feel, such as:
Heavy
Floating
Relaxation
Lightness
Loose
Tingling
Limp
Recline or lay down. Let your body be filled with this physical sensation from head to toe until it feels complete.
2) Choose an emotional state of being that you want to feel, such as:
Calmness
Confidence
Success
Happiness
Joy
Contentment
Peace
Let your body be filled with this feeling from head to toe until it feels complete. Keep repeating the word until you feel it.
3) Give yourself a hypnotic suggestion about a past life goal you want to achieve and state it in the present tense. Or choose one or more of the following:
“Every day in every way I am picking up more information about my previous lives.”
“With every breath I take and every word I say, I become more deeply relaxed and more connected to my past lives.”
“My ability to connect with past lives is getting deeper and deeper as I become more and more deeply relaxed.”
4) Deepening: Picture yourself walking down 5 steps, Count from 5-0, becoming more deeply relaxed with each breath. At 0, go 10 times deeper.
5) Deepening of the Deepening: If you feel like you have entered a trance state, think to yourself, “deep sleep” while you snap a finger. If you still want to go deeper, do these exercises again until you feel deeply relaxed. Usually once is enough, but you can go deeper by repeating these exercises if you like.
After you have performed self hypnosis, you are ready to take a past life journey.
Mirror Scrying
One of the easiest past life journeys can be done with any mirror.
Light a candle. Look in the mirror, defocus eyes, ask for your past lives to be shown to you, continue to defocus your eyes, and wait. Let go of expectations and be open to wherever the experience takes you: to visions, thoughts, feelings, psychic experiences. After doing this many times and asking over and over to be shown my past lives, I had the experience of seeing my face shapeshifting into other faces. I’ve noticed that past lives were shown to me more quickly and spontaneously during times when I’ve done this exercise more often. As with frequent dream recall which tends to elicit an enrichment of dream memory detail, mirror scrying responds well to repetition. But keep in mind that no matter how many times you carry out an exercise, memories are shown to us on the schedule of the cosmos, not on our own time.
Chanting and Meditation
Chanting and meditation are effective ways to remember past lives without the use tools such as a mirror or journal. All you need is your mind and your willingness.
Initiate self hypnosis as described in above. Find a word or phrase to repeat while in meditation. This word of phrase is a way to programme your unconscious mind to access your past life guide or past life information. It is like using a phone number to dial a friend. The friend might not be home, but if you call and they answer, they know you are ready to communicate.
There is a difference between imagination and meditation. When you are using your imagination, you are making effort and your conscious mind is more engaged. But when you are in self-hypnosis, you have bypassed much of your conscious thought and will feel the images, feelings, and information coming to you naturally.

Dream Journeys
Dreams connect us to our unconscious mind where past life memories are stored. The most effective time for self hypnosis is about 30 minutes before you go to sleep because the door to the unconscious mind is already starting to open, so a lot of the work of going into hypnosis is already being done for you by Nature.
Dream Journey I
Fold a piece of paper in half so that it looks like a card. On the front, write the following mantra: “Universe (or spirit guides, angels, nature, or whomever you want to join you on your dream journey), I have faith that you will guide me to the knowledge or vision of a past life that will most help me in my life today.” Then sign your name under the mantra. This statement becomes a soul contract between you and the spirit who accompanies you on this journey. Saying the mantra while you are going into self hypnosis also programmes your unconscious mind with a “to do list”, which it will recall at some point. Your past life guide will join you when they are ready, when you are ready, and when the time is right.
Dream Journey II
How do you know that you have had a dream of a past life? If it is a past life memory, there are logical elements to the events or impressions. There might be a familiar feeling, as if you are visiting a place that feel like home. But most importantly, you will feel an emotional connection to the place, time, or people. Write what you remember inside the card where you wrote your mantra. It might help you make connections when you have other memories from that same past life.
Psychic Time Travel with Spirit Guides
Once you’ve established that your first dream journey was a past life experience, you can take it to the next level. In front of you, picture or feel your spirit guide, angel, or whatever colour and shape represents a Higher Power to you. Talk to them about your dream, either aloud or in your mind. Ask them questions such as:
Say or think the following mantra: “Universe (or spirit guides, angels, nature, or whomever you want to join you on your dream journey), thank you for my past life dream journey. I have faith that you will guide me again to the knowledge or vision of a past life that will most help me in my life today, and that will help me to help others on their journey through life.” Then fold another piece of paper in half and write the mantra on the front, again signing it like a contract. Feel or visualise your guide coming over and signing it as your guardian. Detach from the outcome. When the dream comes, chronicle it in your card.
Psychic Time Travel Journal
You can essentially collect a book of these cards which develop into memoirs of your past lives. The more you take dream journeys, the more experienced of a traveller you will be through these ancient lands. You will get better at it, picking up on more details and more specific information about who you were. It’s like going to the gym: the more you exercise the muscle of being a dream journeyer, the more easily and effortlessly it will happen. Some people even have spontaneous past life recall when you are awake.
