Life and Afterlife Coaching: How to Avoid Regrets in Relationships
On our most recent episode of “Hot Time Love Machine” on Zodiac Divas with Butch Patrick, we discussed how listening to our intuition can help us to avoid regrets. Here are a few exercises you can use, including meditation, prayer and automatic writing, to become more in tune with your feelings:
1) Close your eyes. Meditate on a sacred, safe space. Invite one of your spirit guides over and have him or her write ideas on a blackboard about how you can connect more with your intuition.
2) Use automatic writing to channel from your higher consciousness. Write with your non-dominant hand, or looking away from your paper and at a fixed point on the wall, or by wearing a blindfold. Do not edit or judge what you write, just receive. Start with the phrase “I feel…” and keep writing without pause. You can set a timer for 5 or 10 minutes if it helps you to stay focused.
3) Cultivate an attitude of self-acceptance. If that’s hard to do, try asking for help by saying a prayer such as “Great Spirit, please help me to accept myself as I am”. Dishonesty is a common cause of regrets, but self-acceptance can help you to be more honest about your feelings, so that you don’t deny or suppress the valuable reality of your inner experience. Be true to your feelings, and you will truly be free.
