How to Read Your Tea Leaves
PART I: PREPARING THE CUP
1) Before you start, you should have in your mind what questions you’re asking, so that the symbols made by the tea leaves are relative to your question.
2) Drink your tea in a small, shallow cup, thinking about the question you want answered about your love life.
3) Leave a little tea at the bottom of the cup to mix with the leaves.
4) Squeeze last bit out of the teabag.
5) Tear the top of the teabag off, pushing the first bit of leaves into the cup three times.
6) Spin the cup counterclockwise three times.
7) Pour the leaves into your saucer.
8) Allow excess liquid to drain out.
9) Lift up the cup to read your fortune.
PART II: INTERPRETING SYMBOLS
1) Your reading begins from the handle clockwise.
2) The symbols near the handle represent you and anyone close to your circle.
3) Going away from the handle, clockwise, are things that have happened to you and going away from you.
4) Opposite the handle are people outside your circle, either known or unknown to you.
5) Coming towards the handle again are things that are coming towards you that about to happen in the future.
You can refer to any dream dictionary for an interpretation of symbols, but ultimately use your intuition as a guide.
PART III: OBSERVING EMOTIONAL STATES
1) Symbols toward the bottom of the cup represent heavier emotional experiences.
2) When you gradually go up the cup, the emotions become less heavy.
3) When you get to the top of the cup, this is the Happy Fun Party Time Zone!
PART IV: DISCOVERING TIME FRAMES
If you see numbers, these are clues at to when something occurred in the past or will happen in the future. Also look for letters, like an alphabet soup (only it’s an alphabet tea) for information about people who might be influencing your love life, in the present and beyond.
