2017 Astrology Overview: July-December

Since we’re moving into the second half of the year, I’d like to give a brief preview of what remains for your Sun sign in 2017 astrology for July-December. Of course, there can be multiple themes for each sign every year, and even within each month. Some of these additional themes will be mentioned in subsequent monthly horoscopes. Feel free to read this biannual forecast for either your Sun or Ascendant sign. You can also read a little more about your career if you know what sign you have in the Saturn position of your natal chart. Aries 2017 Astrology (MAR 21-APR 19)
This is a year for you to get organised and take care of business so you can be prepared for a more public way of life in 2018. Saturn transits your ninth house of higher education and international travel, which will encourage you to catch up on skills, take extension courses, or do more research in your chosen field. Now through November would be an ideal time to get started on a dream or business venture you’ve been aspiring to, as you’ll likely be busy with more activity by 2018. September-October brings new career opportunities. The August 21st solar eclipse adds some sparkle to your love life. You’re on the verge of an exciting time.
Taurus 2017 Astrology (APR 20-MAY 20)
Anything you save this year will likely go toward something with a deep meaning to you over the next couple of years. 2017 continues to bring you a focus on savings, property, and valuable items. Your focus will be not only on what you value financially, but also the intrinsic value of objects. You’ll be redefining your material and relationship priorities this year. What parts of your life are becoming more dear to you lately? Based on a general 2nd house spotlight on acquiring money and possessions, it would seem like material reality would be a top Taurean value. But it’s more about what these items represent-a connection to those who came before you, the people you love in your life now, a personal feeling of security, and what you hope to build in the future for your loved ones and family.
Gemini 2017 Astrology (MAY 21-JUN 20)
For you, Gemini, this year revolves around themes of love, mirth, creative expression, and cultivating a full and satisfying social life. This is a year of making connections, with plenty of chances to meet new people and meet up with new opportunities in your career…as long as you try different approaches than you ever have before. If you’re looking to date, your biggest problem might be…who to choose? From October-December, there could be some new solutions available for improvement of your health, but also a change in access to healthcare around hat time. Be sure to check about any changes in your upcoming plan for 2018 if you use health insurance.
Cancer 2017 Astrology (JUN 21-JUL 22)
Most of this year has been revolving around work or family for you, but beginning around October 10th and continuing through November 2018, there will be a high likelihood of finding or spending more time with a true love. During this time, you may also get back in touch with your creativity, or start of a fulfilling hobby that brings you great joy and you didn’t even know you were missing. July should be a more exciting month for you than the previous months of 2017, with a lot of providential Cancerian activity. Mars stays in Cancer through July 20th, bringing you an emotional strength powerful enough to last throughout the year. If you’ve been having some career instability since around February of this year, you could see that turn around close to the August 21st solar eclipse.
Leo 2017 Astrology (JUL 23-AUG 22)
Some of the activities in the latter half of 2017 that could pique your interest include: writing, speaking, teaching, and possibly travel or making long-term travel plans. You might even be thinking of starting a business in 2018 based on some of the projects you’ve been working on this year. As Saturn moves through the same part of your chart as it did in 1995-2008, you’ll notice some similar themes between that era and now. You may even be feeling nostalgic for some of those times, remembering and reconnecting to what was important to you then, and reviving those values in your life today. Eclipses in August bring a renewed commitment to staying true to your dreams without compromising your integrity.
Virgo 2017 Astrology (AUG 23-SEP 22)
Virgo, this year brings you opportunities to further develop your talents, as well as a desire to improve your home and health. You may find that the stress of managing domestic responsibilities becomes overwhelming, and consider sharing the work with someone else and/or looking at your schedule to remove or reduce things that are no longer a priority to you.
The good news is that once your home improvements are completed and you’re feeling physically better, you’ll come back to a less heavy schedule. The challenges you’ve encountered so far this year will end up inspiring you to spend more time on doing the things you love the most. August-September and throughout the fall could be time of much romantic chemistry between you and a partner or potential partner. Even if you don’t feel like you’re making the kind of progress you want to right now, your current efforts will contribute to the success of your home and work life in 2018-2019.
Libra 2017 Astrology (SEP 23-OCT 22)
This is a year of new beginnings for you, Libra, either in work or relationships. You’ve been increasing the standards of how you expect to be treated, and this will continue as a trend throughout the year. This expectation of relationships means you’ve probably been speaking up more about what you want and increasing your boundaries with those who don’t seem to value you as much as you know you should be appreciated. Jupiter continues to move through Libra until October, and you may find yourself in relationships or harmonious business partnerships with Sagittarians or those who have prominent 9th house placements in their birth charts. The August 7th Lunar Eclipse brings you heightened romance that could lead to serious commitments.
Scorpio 2017 Astrology (OCT 23-NOV 21)
This is a positive year for work experiences, and even if you’ve had to take a pay cut or budget more due to an additional expense, financial discomforts will help you open up to new opportunities. And, if chosen wisely and without haste, some of these opportunities-which may be coming later this year or into the next-will bring you more profit and independence in the long run. As long as you continue to be prudent with your budget, times should get easier after Saturn completes its tour through your Earned Income Sector December 19th. The August 7th Lunar Eclipse is positive for our domestic life, and could mean adding more peace and tranquility to your home, a new addition, or even considering the possibility of relocating. The Solar Eclipse on August 21st amounts to a fortunate turn of events for your career. From October 10th through the rest of the year, you’ll attract many admirers who see you as magnetic and charismatic.
Sagittarius 2017 Astrology (NOV 22-DEC 21)
You’ll still be moving toward your dreams throughout the rest of this year, despite the many responsibilities you’re still facing. The theme of this December’s holiday season will be celebration and relief, as Saturn moves out of your sign and into its natural home placement of Capricorn December 19th, releasing you from some long-standing familial, corporate, or work-oriented obligations and duties.
The last time Saturn moved through Sagittarius was 1985-1988, and the last time Pluto was moving through Sagittarius was 1995-2008. You may be noticing some recurring themes in the life lessons, challenges, and uncovering of deep motivations you felt during one or both of those periods, and what you’re facing today. The last half of 2017 is a chance to get some perspective on those eras of your life, and also to reconnect with those you’ve loved and cared about from one or both of those time periods-including sequels to old TV shows and reconstructions of fashions from those times.
From now until December 20th, 2017, you’ll notice the responsibilities you’ve had for the last couple of years are starting to diminish, less is being demanded of you by family, and glimpses of luck, fun, and romance seem to appear out of nowhere. It’s not your imagination, it’s a mental (and soon to be physical) vacation.
Capricorn 2017 Astrology (DEC 22-JAN 19)
The rest of this year is about letting go of self-imposed pressures and expectations around your career and enjoying the benefits of self-acceptance. By releasing yourself from how you think you should be, you’ll become free to become who you truly are. This metamorphosis is important, because you will be meeting with unorthodox, yet deeply satisfying, business and home improvement opportunities in the future. Saturn is exalted in Capricorn, and will make a helpful move into your sign December 19th. Many of the problems you’re trying to solve today will be met with more luck toward the end of the year, and for a two-and-a-half year period.
Speaking of planets in your sign, Pluto is in Capricorn through 2024, and previously travelled through Capricorn from 1762-1778. While you might be more comfortable with being cautious in general, Pluto brings deep changes and revolutions in consciousness that lead to major life changes. Think of the American Revolution of 1776, later followed by the French Revolution in its shadow, beginning in 1789. The Enlightenment was a scientific revolution of the late 18th century, and its subsequent Industrial Revolution, a child of the Enlightenment, was not far off.
So how does this apply to you as a Capricorn from now until 2024? Expect upheaval to create unusual improvements in your home life-some technological, and others involving indoor gardening- as Uranus enters Taurus in 2018. Your work and home life become increasingly convenient, even to the point where the two may merge. Indoors will blend more fluidly with outdoors in 2018-2019 interior and architectural design, so the “merging” won’t just be about working from home, it will also involve having a lot of nature around you even when you are working indoors. The transformation will take a few years, but overall your work-life balance is about to get healthy–mentally, physically, and emotionally.
Aquarius 2017 Astrology (JAN 20-FEB 18)
Aquarians are often futuristic visionaries, so I’m going to jump many years ahead to give you an overview before I talk about 2017.
Many brilliant discoveries and inventions will be made from 2024-2044, when Pluto moves into your Sun sign of Aquarius. Deep transformations will result in a great leap forward in the fields of astrophysics, community-oriented lifestyles, and the ability for survival well beyond our presently expected lifespans. This also means that, about seven years from now, you’ll be coming up with some meaningful inventions of your own. Since you are about to embark on a time of great potential for you as you become a part of this future metamorphic movement, from now until 2023 will be the time to study and experiment with your ideas as much as possible. That way, when you go public with your work you’ll be confidently prepared to handle the questions, challenges, and opportunities that will come your way.
As for July-December 2017, there’s romance brewing around August 21st that culminates in more of a connection by September-October. If you keep the faith with a positive attitude and “don’t give up 5 minutes before the miracle happens”*, career opportunities begin to flourish around October 10th when Jupiter transits Scorpio.
Pisces 2017 Astrology (FEB 19-MAR 20)
If there’s one word to describe how you’ll be regarded this year, it might be “admired”. As you exude a spiritual connection that many others are presently searching for, they may feel an infinite comfort in your presence and a sense that everything is going to be okay even if it does not appear that way. This divinely electric quality is emanating from you partly because of your Sun being in conjunction with your home planet of Neptune in Pisces. The next seven years are meant to be a time of exploring what is beyond the hidden veil of life, whether it’s in dreams, visions, meditations, channeling, or musical and artistic expression. Career opportunities increase around August 21st. Despite a possible surprise check or settlement coming in sometime around October-November, be sure to save anything extra, as there could be some financial ups and downs for you this fall and winter. Saturn moves into your Social Sector December 19th, so some of your career opportunities in 2018 are bound to come from networking. If you’re in a relationship, there could be talk of it getting more serious between September 19th-October 14th. If you’re single, you’ll likely notice more than one compatible option this fall.
